Rogue Rider - Review

Rogue Rider ( Lords of Deliverance #4)
by Larissa Ione
Book Blurb
The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man that Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man that can be very dangerous . . .

Reseph may not know his background, or why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbours are killed and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world with death and destruction, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?
My Review
I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review.Jillian lives alone with her animals after she survives an attack by demons. While out one freezing snowy time she comes across a naked man and takes him home to try and save him. When he awakes he realizes he has no memory of who he is. As he gets nursed back to health by Jillian he remembers his name is Reseph. He doesn't remember much else. After several of her neighbors are killed in what looks like a demon attack people seem to think Reseph is behind it. When the demon hunters show up they seem to know who Reseph is. He is Pestilence the Horseman responsible for the world being ravished, almost destroyed and countless deaths. Can he and Jillian overcome what he is or will it be the end of them.

Jillian is such a phenomenal character. I liked her from the very start. Even having a horrible time in the past she still was willing to take in a person she didn't know to try and save them. She has went through so much and you can not think she is weak. She has such a strong eternal strength. even when others turn their back on Reseph she does what she can to help him. Now for Reseph he has so many problems. You know you should hate him when it is revealed he is a horseman that almost destroyed the world but as you read his struggle you understand what all he goes through. He also will do almost anything to protect Jillian when he is his self. There is a whole lot of other characters including the other horseman you read about. Really to many to be named.

I have not read the other books in this series but that didn't affect my reading at all. I will be reading the others just to get the other Horsemans stories but I loved this book. These two make such a great couple you want the best for them even when you know they have horror between them. Apart they just are not as good as you know they can be when together. There is plenty of action as you get several fight scenes and several love scenes. You get background on the other stories as you read that helps with the not getting lost but you still don't know for sure what happened. That is great so It doesn't ruin the other books for you. I love the idea for this series and the author writes it in a fantastic way. I really want to ramble on and on about this book it is so good and I think I have a new series of books to be addicted to. I need to get the rest of them. I would say read them in order but if you do happened to read them out of order you won't be lost. I Love this book and if you love adult paranormal romance I will say run not walk out and pick this on up.
