Bound To Me Blog Tour - Review

Hi everyone! Today we have a stop on the Bound To Me blog tour. We have a review of the book and a dream cast from the author.

Blurb
A girl with nothing else to lose.

A life that's brought nothing but pain.

A tattoo that's more than what it seems.

Eighteen-year old Veronica has had enough. Her alcoholic mother has only delivered a slew of abusive step-fathers and life is only getting harder. What was to be a simple tattoo for her birthday brings more than she ever imagined. Liam is a shape-shifting dragon. He lives on her shoulder, watching her, helping her. Having the dragon come to life and teaching her courage becomes a new lifeline for Veronica. But Liam will eventually become a permanent tattoo on her skin - never to take the shape of the protector she became attached to. Will she embrace her life or will a broken heart shatter her soul forever?

My Review
Veronica or Ronnie as she is called lives with her drunken mother and abusive step dad. She works a job and has graduate high school but is afraid to leave her mom alone. She decides as a treat on her 18th birthday to get a new tattoo. When she goes to a new tattoo shop she gets more than she bargains for. Her Dragon tattoo is actually a real shapeshifting Dragon name Liam. He has a job to do protecting her and teaching her how to take care of herself. Liam also has a lesson to learn from being her guardian he just has to figure out what it is. They both become close but they have a limit time before Liam goes away and her tattoo becomes just a plain one.

Ronnie has been beaten down in her life but she doesn't give up. She still has spunk and even a sense of humor. She hasn't had anyone to stand up for her in a long time. She has walls up around her heart as well. It keeps her from getting hurt. She has to learn some hard lessons just to enjoy life. Liam is a sexy  strong protector I wouldn't mind on my shoulder. He can be very moody but it comes with what he is. I really liked these two.

I love tattoos, I love paranormal beings and a good story. This book has them all. While I have read books similar to this one this still stands out on it's own. You get to really know Ronnie and care for her. She has to grow up even more in this book and she becomes a truly strong woman. I will say this book surprised me on the ending cause I  saw it playing out different. The author took a different approach to it you don't see often in books but I liked it. I really hope there will be more to this series as it is a good one.  It plays easily in your mind and that is always a sign of a good book.
